  • The door in the Cathedral itself its polychromy, delights. The whole complex can be seen from many places of the city. This is something momentous to see cradle of the Polish State. Unfortunately, I do not I saw the tombs of the Dukes (reconstruction), to come later.

  • Tour began in parts in the Abbey of Pobenedyktyńskim. Terribly offended by the Lady at the counter was not too willing to supply information and visitors clearly it got irritated. The exhibition on the first floor of a quite nicely orchestrated, effective Vault. On the second floor of the exhibited is the Bible of Płock, unfortunately, multimedia kiosk was corrupted or someone did not want to turn it on. The second part of the exhibition in the old Museum is completely different. Thanks to working here Lady visitors do not feel an intruder and oczkiwanym. Same exposition takes us into the past, old wooden Museum display cases and a huge number of exhibits that makes you feel like Explorer. This is not a modern exhibition which are hundreds, is a magical place and has been unchanged for as long as possible.

  • The Museum is housed in two buildings. And are two different worlds. In the building next to the Cathedral welcomed us very nice lady that does not spare the information about collections and of course interesting messages. While in the building opposite the Basilica simply ran out of support. We were able to walk through the Museum of niepilnowani. I got the impression that the collections you can simply reach up and no one noticed (in the Museum was turned off lighting). Only after some 15 minutes I managed to finally bring the employee who turned on the lights and enabled us to explore. He was probably pretty unhappy with our visit to the Museum. Collections of course extremely interesting. Although the Museum was under-funded and very traditional, and exhibits in the most nondescript, definitely worth a visit! You can also begin a tour of the Museum the Diocesan Museum of Płock, because it is only open until 14:00!

  • The building is located between the Episcopal Curia and the Cathedral, on the edge of the Hill Island, built in 1903, by Prof. Stefan Szyller, enlarged in 1930, Built of red brick, fits in perfectly with the architecture of the Cathedral, with interesting architecturally, toothed peaks. On the left side of the building was tiny lapidary. In its outer wall is stone architectural details with centuries from the 14th to the 17TH CENTURY, removed from the Cathedral during the renovation in the years 1901-03. Particular attention to three pairs of kolumienek from the Romanesque twin heads found in the wall of the Northern nave of the Cathedral. The initiator of the Foundation of the Diocesan Museum was Archbishop Antoni Julian Nowowiejski. The Museum has over 8 thousand items, and its collections collections are collected in two main sections: art (particularly valuable collection of belts kontuszowych) and history (m.in. "rare" collection-coins all continents). You should also watch Department, where m.in was collected. medieval bombardy, hakownice, Blunderbuss, guns and other copies of firearms, as well as souvenirs national uprisings.

  • The Museum is not for everyone. Diocesan Museum in two buildings. If someone is interested in sacred art will be happy. Prices are not exorbitant, so you can spend time in the Museum and curiously watch exhibits. If anyone knows the art needs no guide.
