  • The Museum on the street next to the Bishop Museum, Kanonicza Street Ciołek. Close To The Wawel Castle. Interesting exhibits, souvenirs and Interior in which John Paul II once lived. Worth to see.

  • I stumbled upon this museum and initially went in to see the religious art not realising it also housed the apartments of Pope John Paul II. I had the place all to myself and the staff very kindly too...  more »
  • As the input is included with a visit to the Cathedral, there are to visit it, even to spend a few minutes because, if you will, not is it takes longer to go inside, especially upstairs where you can see different objects related to Pope Juan Pablo II (strange gift that made him the Apollo 11 astronaut) (: a letter handwritten with a small picture of them on the Moon and over a small cross that brought on the expedition). It is anything more out of the Cathedral. Where is the statue of Juan Pablo II, right, in a building which is accessed up a small staircase. To know and understand Krakow should see the importance of the Catholic Church in this city, whose religion is still present.

  • Small but nice museum!
  • Super
  • House of St. Stanislaw (M # 19) was built in 1370, in half. The 16th century rebuilt into a Renaissance residence. On the second floor of the chapel was built. Stanislaus (the only preserved to this day in the canons ' residences). The House was destroyed in 1768, at the end of the 18th century it was rebuilt in the Classicist style.

  • I'm Portuguese! When visiting the Museum John Paul II believed would find something concerning my country or n. s. de Fátima. One to whom John Paul donated the bullet that almost killed him, and that in your understand protected him from death. NOTHING! I was terribly disappointed not only for the reason that I have just mentioned, but also because the Museum about 3 or 4 quarters with objects of John Paul and the rest of paints and sacred art exhibition ... Here I leave you the image of the NS of Fatima.

  • A good Museum! Is in the House, where Karol Wojtyla (John Paul 2). Three exposures. Exhibition on the second floor is dedicated to the life of John Paul 2. There gathered his things, paintings, photos, furniture, medals ... The second exhibition is represented by the medieval icons and sculptures, many different religious items from precious metals. The third exposure-time and took the 2 smaller rooms in the basement. The Museum, though he was on my list of places to visit in Krakow at the end.

Where to stay in Krakow

Krakow ranks among one of Europe's increasingly popular tourist destinations, which is reflected in the rising costs of comfortable lodgings. The best hotels are concentrated in and around the historical old town, where five-star luxury comes at a very steep price. Old town hotels place you just steps from fine shops and restaurants, as well as the city's main museums and galleries. However, if your trip involves a tight budget, avoid the central district and check out mid-range hotels and economical hostels in one of the outlying neighborhoods.
