Planty Park, Krakow
(4.5/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy the idyllic scenery at Planty Park, famous for well-tended floral displays, small lakes, fountains, and statues. Following the line of the city walls, which protected this part of the city until the 19th century, the park is composed of thirty distinct gardens. Established in the 1820s and expanded over the years, the park now covers 21 hectares (52 acres) and stretches more than 4 km (2.5 mi). Stroll the scenic walkway for a shady retreat from the busy streets. Plan to see Planty Park and other attractions that appeal to you using our Krakow trip itinerary builder.

  • Just outside the overcrowded streets of downtown there is this zone where you can stop for a break. We passed rather quickly ... the rain is not a friend to be able to fully appreciate this area.

  • It is a park surrounding the old town followed by. And just a short walk from the old town and the bench is because rest is recommended. You can walk in the Park to go around.

  • .... This large green area, built on the ruins of old fortifications surrounding it like a scarf the whole old town, making it pleasant to everyone walking, jogging, take a bike ride or just sit and read a book, weather permitting. Very, very popular with the citizens, in every season, it's an oasis from car traffic and it is pleasant to discover corners, statues, plaques of historical figures or just stop to breathe the spirit of the city. Charming at night, always be visited without danger of sorts, very inviting.

  • This is such a great way to walk to Wawel Castle from the old town. You hardly ever have to step out of the greenery, trees and gardens to get there. To keep it interesting, there are some seriously interesting statues to look at along the way. And going thru it during the first signs of autumn is pretty beautiful actually. i noticed hardly any homeless people or dog excrement. Well kept!
  • Very nice park close to the main square in Krakow. Beautiful in summer and during winter. Really nice place!
  • Place where I used to walk a lot as a child... Still didn't changed at all, one of the best places in Bialystok for romantic, and not only, walk.
  • The most famous Cracow park, iconic, placed in historic downtown, well known as Hyde Park in London and Central Park in New York. When you visit Cracow can't just skip it in your tourist schedule. Won't regret a minute spend there, highly recommend.
  • Lots of benches where you can chill and talk. The place is not only great for lazy walks any time of the year, but it is good for sports, such as jogging, cycling, skateboarding, rollerblading and similar. Pokemon GO trainers, take notice: there is a fantastic little pond with fountain near the Barbakan with 3 pokestops, most of the time loaded with lure.
