A heartwarming testament to humankind, in World War II Apteka pod Orłem. Oddział Muzeum Historycznego Miasta Krakowa housed the only pharmacy  n Krakow's Jewish ghetto. Now a museum, this site narrates the story of the people who worked there and often risked their lives to help the ghetto population suffering under Nazi occupation. Spread out over five small rooms, the exhibits include the Polish owner's eyewitness account of the atrocities committed against the city's Jews. Photos, videos, and written documents make up the bulk of the exhibit. Plan your visit to Apteka pod Orłem. • An excellent museum, with so much inside to see and learn. So moving and sad but also heart warming, as it always is when you see such kindness in amongst the evil.
  • At our walking tour through the Jewish quarter we got to hear the story of the pharmacist. Especially the story makes it impressive. definitely see if you know the history.

  • Lovely little museum about Tadeusz Pankiewicz and his life helping Jews in the Ghetto. Very interactive as most of the cupboards and draws open to reveal pictures, documents etc. Would recommend if you're in the area.
  • Original place of the pharmacy of Mr. Tadeusz Pankiewicz - a man played an important role in the times WWII/Holocaust.
  • Apteka Pod Orłem w Krakowie Part of the history of the Second World War Christian pharmacist who refused to remove his pharmacy outside the walls of the Jewish ghetto and stayed there and saved a lot of Jews to death by the Nazis
  • Good to see from the historical perspective.
  • I would recommend
