Zamek w Kórniku Reviews
Miejsce jak najbardziej warte odwiedzenia, zamek przepiękny. Wejście około 15 zł czynny do godziny 17. more »Place as the most beautiful castle, worth a visit. Input about 15 zł open until 17.
Cudowny obiekt z cyklu " kto bogatemu zabroni?" Zamek na wysepce o wielowiekowej tradycji, wielokrotnie przebudowywany, bogato wyposażony, o ciekawej architekturze ( obecnie głównie neogotyk, za to ja... more »A wonderful property with "who the rich stop?" Castle on an island about a centuries-old tradition, rebuilt, rich, interesting architecture (now mostly Gothic Revival, for what!). The legendary White Lady hard nature and sense to the interests (Theophilus Działyńska), beautiful garden around the (arboretum). Numerous, wealthy owners left a rich collection of works of art and craft from around the world. Problem may be the lack of adaptations for people with disabilities (beautiful stairs) and those wonderful filcokapcie (well, inlaid floors, sorry).
Ciekawe architektonicznie miejsce l, letnia rezydencja rodziny Zamoyskich. Warto odbyć podróż śladami polskich mecenasów kultury do Łańcuta, Kozłówki, Zakopanego i oczywiście Kórnika :) more »Interesting architectural space l, the summer residence of the family of the Zamoyski family. It is worth to make the journey in the footsteps of the patrons of the Polish culture to łańcut, Kozłówki, Opole Voivodeship, and of course, Kórnik:)
Prepare to pay for everything - for parking, entrance, making photos. At entrance you have to wear weir flipflops (very slippy!) as there is delightful wooden floor you can admire and wander around. Lack of audioguide or other kind of guide. There is only some guide notes in every room but only in polish. That's a shame there is no other language information and service there is not helpful nor nice. That's a shame because this castle is very beautiful and has an unique spirit. It's not biggest nor most beautiful you will visit but it is worth visiting. Also one more thing I didn't like was a fries truck next to the main entrance to this castle with that old oil awful smell. That's a shame because as a guest you're supposed to admire wonderful garden. Keep in mind that there is also lack of parking places.
From the outside it doesn't look all too special, then the pleasant, big surprise is on the inside: a beautiful floor spread out over different rooms. Special shoesleeves are provider to protect the splendid floor. Walking inside the castle will take about one hour, an hour very well spend. Don' t forget to look up. The interiour with it's floor will make you silence for a whole, somehow to make sure you absorb the beaty. It is not the most beautiful castle you will visit, but after your visit you will be very glad you have done so.
A nice building let down by nonsensical ticketing. First you need a ticket for the car park 10zl. Then you need a ticket to get in 15zl. So far so good. Here's where the nonsense starts. If you want to take pictures, you need a ticket for that too 10zl. If you want to go the toilet, you'll need a ticket for that 2zl. If you want to visit the surrounding park, you're going to need another ticket 7zl. This is the kind of silliness you can expect in Poland, everybody looking for a cut of every transaction you make. For a main tourist attraction, it needs a shake up.
Not so much to see, horrible flip flops, very slippy. If you around, pomp over
Get your wallet out. They charge to park, to tour, to photograph and to walk the atrium. But, it is all worth it. The Atrium is AMAZING! Over 3000 species of tree and shrub in a seemingly endless expanse of space. You could spend hours and not see it all, and it is amazingly beautiful (especially in October when I came). The castle is amazing and the architecture is spectacular.....then, take the time and the 4zl to tour the Atrium....it is breathtaking. You could lose yourself in the acres and acres of magnificent trees and complete peace. I can not recommend it enough.
