  • The Museum has a lot of exhibits. It is worth taking a look there during your stay in Gniezno. During the tour you receive the free audioprzewodnikik.

  • The Museum is located at the back of the Basilica. You can buy a ticket for the tour total of Basilica (21). In the Museum you can see the beautiful glasses, clothes, paintings, sculptures of religious-themed. Interestingly, shows the burial in the old days. At checkout we get the audio guide and we can at your pace. I believe that this was not a lost time.

  • Worth a visit to this Museum, really worth it. The number of exhibits, their beauty and splendor you can get dizzy. Are the items and their stories before hundreds of years, are also things contemporary. For very little money (compared with other known to me in museums)-2,50 EUR reduced ticket, 10 PLN, PLN 25 family-run you can really get to know a lot of history. For me very interesting was the exhibition "portraits for coffins" and from what I remember this exhibition, I found the unique exhibition of photos from the fire ostrzelanej of the Cathedral, but I do not know whether this is a permanent element. In any case, I recommend!

  • Museum is well prepared, buying a whole package (museum, cathedral, basement, X-th century door and vantage point at one of the towers) also gives you an audio guide which automatically recognizes the room you're in (probably only in polish) - neat feature but sometimes it recognizes the wrong beacon, and there's no way to select the room manually, so you begin walking around like an idiot trying to find the right beacon in the room. We were there in early November so the vantage point was closed shut, but they still charge you the full price for the ticket - not nice. Overall it's still worth the price (around 4 euro, and they do not take credit cards).
  • Archdiocesan Museum was founded in 1991 and is certainly worth to see them. Its rich collection includes sculptures, coffin portraits and liturgical fabrics and articles medalierskie and gold. Were collected here close to 550 sculptures in wood, that come from the period from the 14th to the 19th century. The most important include the Lamentation of Gościeszyna. 1420. The Museum also has custody of Treasury of the Cathedral, which is considered one of the richest treasure of Church in Poland. The permanent exhibition is presented 75 objects from the Treasury, originating in the period to the eighteenth century, the Cup (called the calyx. Wojciech), consisting of Byzantine agatowej canopy (10th century), the Golden foot and nodusa (end of the 12th century) and later: the feeder (XXV/16th century) and canopy (late 18th century). In turn the Cup with the end of the 12th century, founded for the Gniezno Cathedral probably by Mieszko III the old, belongs to the finest, not only in Poland, calyces "calices imaginati" (a group of the most magnificent, very richly decorated calyces). Other exhibits is reliquaries. Ursula with ok. 1481, St. Barbara with ok. 1485 r.. Gereon's Basilica. 1533 and reliquary in the form of the cross-the gift of Archbishop Jacob of Sienna before 1480.

  • Place incredibly saturated for a history, a point on the map Polish. A ticket to watch all (Museum, the Cathedral, the underground Cathedral, Gniezno Doors and Tower) costs au $. And everything would be OK, if not for the fact that the tower is not available (November), and half of the reconstructed Cathedral and obscured-therefore the entry price should be lower. To the toilet in the Museum costs £ 2 (two steps further. Tumskiej 1), the first time I met with the toilet was paid. Fortunately, historical value and niesmowite stories charming ladies Guide (underworld-every 30 min from 13-and Gniezno Doors-entrance every 15 min from the h. 13) wipe out the wrong impression. To each full ticket is added to the audio guide that all over the place, in theory, should automatically talk about him, unfortunately often lose coverage or talks about the site in the past. Nevertheless really visit this place!
