  • Gdańsk Zoo is the largest Zoo in Poland, however, much of the land is not developed and these are the areas of Tricity landscape park. The Zoo is surrounded by forest and a very nice atmosphere. Unlike many zoos it is located on the outskirts of the city which is a huge plus. In my opinion this is the zoo functions at the forefront of Polish. Maybe in terms of number of animals is not the best, but when it comes to the welfare of the animals you can stick to many things. In this respect, the better is the only Zoo in Poznań. Development plans the zoo are also very rich, however, new great investments for years, no money. This place is ideal for long walks, but if someone is not able to pass the entire route of exploring it, you can use the queue for consideration with the zoo. Toilets in the end are free also out of season. Gastronomy unfortunately during the winter period is closed. In the plans was the construction of restaurants, but the plans ended. Introduced electronic payment at the ticket offices, and for the inhabitants of the annual card was created, where the cost is not great and returns practically two entrances into the garden. No parking looks best and is managed by dzierżawce. New car park is also on the plans. With the latest investment can be replaced, of course, lwiarnię and 2ha catwalk. It stands out on a European scale when it comes to size. In addition, in recent years many have been completely renovated stables and the old pavilions. Last year, came to the zoo two pandas, small, and in 2017 should arrive horse antelope. I just work is underway on a new Pavilion for monkeys, which over the years spent the winter in a very small room. The number of pavilions may not too exciting-lwiarnia, żyrafiarnia, the world of butterflies, Aviary and pavilions. In winter, it is worth to come during a period when the ground is snow-take a sled! The place is magical and snow here persists for more than in the middle of the city. Many animals in the winter is just as active as in the summer. On the catwalks are missing certain ungulate animals, but a large part can be viewed in the pavilions. Even though the winter to very late on his catwalk were pelicans, which on the wedding invitations have been moved only in January. Many exotic animals coming out shortly-elephants, and some spend outdoors 24/7 and even though they are residents of South America's great endure winter conditions (greater Rhea) as in any zoo are also inferior objects, but as far as possible the Directorate seeks to modernize the old objects in the first place. If you only manage to expand the zoo go ahead could become the best in Poland and distinctive in Europe.

  • Oliwa Zoo I visited a few times and we will be happy to go back again. The garden is very large, so you need to spend a couple of hours if you want to see all the animals. During the season you have to arm yourself with patience due to the numerous visitors. Worth it!! Penguins are my favorite!
