  • It happened a few decades ago but I decided to share with you this story. I was then 16 years old, and after class, I set out a stroll in the old town, which is very close to me. It was June, name day Jana and so also the Jan III Sobieski. I stood before the statue of the King, at some point came up to me an elegant man and asked if I ask for a favor, I said yes, then szusowałam with stówką in hand towards the stalls of flowers to satisfy make request a stranger and say, buy for this night with flowers for King John:). My principal stated that there is no time to do it personally because I hurry on the train. So I bought a large bouquet of roses for all the 100 zł. and brought them from the monument of your birthday child. Everything would be OK if it were not for my thoughts, why me? Is this some kind of test of my integrity? Whether the guy is not lurking in the bushes and there was me or not I put stówki......:) This is the strangest story of what happened to me but, despite the passage of years (45) calls still smile on my lips when I'm around the monument of King John. This is my private history but such tales of magical places comfotably is much ... .... So I invite you on walks after Gdansk:)

  • The monument is located on the square, where several roads converge and form a circular movement. Near train station and the city's major attractions. A good guide.
