  • This is a small museum, and a visit will not take long, well under an hour, but it was time well spent. There is information in both Polish and English.  more »
  • We had a chance on a business trip to go to this museum. It was very well done showing how all people suffered during World War II. If you are visiting Gdansk, it is worth going.  more »
  • How impressive, that this building was heavily damaged during World War 2 and was restored to such perfection. Our visit here was made so special by our guide, who was so proud to share not only this ...  more »

  • Yes, the big draw of this museum is the triptych painting of 'the last judgement' and it is very impressive. Probably worth it to justify going there to see that alone. Which is just as well given some of the other exhibits. There are some interesting other 16th century Dutch paintings (though what are they doing there?), and some of the silver mugs are fascinating, but it's very much a single big piece event. Mildly off the beaten track for the tourist trail, but still easy to reach (provided you follow a map). Read the blurb provided about the symbolism in the painting - it's genuinely quite fascinating. Oh, and maybe pop your head round the next room with the other contemporary pictures of the last judgement... since they really help you realise why Memling's one is quite so good!
  • A good art collection, the most interesting piece is surely Memling's triptych, amazing!
  • It was ashame that there was no english explanation at the temporary exhabition. But the standard is very well explaned.
  • Great museum with ceramic, silver and painting collections. Top of the lot for me was "The Last Judgement" painting by Hans Memling which is on display here. However, many of the other items on display are still a fantastic to see!!
  • If you need one reason to visit - it's the famous Last Judgement by Hans Memling.
