Trip Planner: Europe / Poland / Northern Poland / Pomerania Province / Gdansk / Europejskie Centrum SolidarnoSci
Celebrating the bravery of the Polish solidarity movement, Europejskie Centrum SolidarnoSci includes exhibition halls, a theater, and impressive architecture. Reopened in 2014, the attraction's building is as much a reason to visit as the engaging exhibits. Designed to resemble a ship's hull, the structure pays tribute to its location in the shipyards. Inside the "ship's hull," historical exhibits tell the story of Poland's fight against Russia through videos, audio recordings, and documents accompanied by visuals and interactive displays. Visit the attraction's website for a calendar of upcoming events and to purchase tickets in advance. Work out when and for how long to visit Europejskie Centrum SolidarnoSci and other Gdansk attractions using our handy Gdansk tour planner.

I really liked this museum. Learned a lot about Polish history and the Solidarity Union. The audio guide was great. Spent much more time here than expected. One tip: the audio guide also has an interesting part if you take it with you on the roof terrace.
This is a great museum. It was large and had signs in English and Polish. The staff were very friendly! The museum in itself was great. A large number of displays that provided a deep view in the Polish communism and the uprise and rebel of the polish people. This is perfect after going to the WWII museum to provide a more modern understanding of Poland’s history. The interactive displays are great. They also did an excellent job of combining displays with recreates of rooms and places etc. They emerge you into the environment creating an excellent experience. The exhibits provide a great in-depth view to life in the war! This is a must stop if you are in Gdańsk!!!
Liked this place very much. Was impressed how polish people preserve and are proud of the period from 1970'. And also it is well acquired from technical point of view. Hope in Ukraine we will build smth similar.
Well worth visit, get u back in time , brings back memories and new stories and made u think :-)
Absolutely brilliant museum. Engaging from the first moment through to the end. Definitely get the audioguide, it's very well done and gives context to the whole exhibit. One of the top museums I've ever been to.
