Full to bursting with valuable artwork, Archikatedra Oliwska serves as the final resting place of many of the region's prominent families. The great organ was designed in the 18th century by a Cistercian monk and features dramatic carved wood against the white vaulting above the congregation's heads. The angels balanced on top of the organ are movable. Other notable artworks adorn the walls and are worth a closer look as well. • When we were in our visit of the Park in Oliwa we also went in the beautifull Cathedral. There is a very good accustic of the great Organ. There are concerts with it very often, so don't miss it.

  • We visited here as part of a bike tour and was pleased to have it included as a stop, the inside is beautiful and of course the main draw is the massive organ! Worth a visit

  • From the outside, the cathedral looks a bit underwhelming, especially when compared to the Basilica of St Mary in Gdańsk centre. That impression changes upon entering, however, as the interior of the cathedral is simply, in a word, breathtaking. The cultural and artistic value is enormous, with many beautiful paintings lining the walkways. An interesting fact is that the angels trumpets move when the organ is being played, along with stars spinning producing a beautiful twinkling sound. Unfortunately I cannot rate it five stars as I was pressed for donating to the collection pot after I sat down to listen to the organ practice.
  • Great place to visit. Every Sunday after the mass you can listen to short concert played on the famous organs. After visiting cathedral it is also worth to walk thru Park.
  • Make sure this is part of your shore excursion it’s so great and fun experience
  • Wonderful place, and we had the luck to hear the organ concert. It was awesome!
  • Lovely Cathedral, well worth the visit.
