When the Masovian land became part of the Kingdom of Poland - which was under the rule of Queen Bona Sforza. The retreating land army, close to Warta, under Stefan Czarniecki's commandhad captured the stronghold and had devastated it. The castle went through a reconstruction between 1762-1766, when Marszałek Franciszek Bieliński had commanded the reconstruction of the stronghold. However, due to the Prussian Partition, the Prussian leader had ordered for the demolition of the castle's defense walls, reducing the stronghold's military importance. • Where is only two towers and some wall left in czersk. Its hard to get where without own car, little info inside, castle itself is quite big. Also you need to buy ticket, its not free
  • A must-see when you will be on the side of Warsaw. Located 30 km south of the Polish capital, this castle, although it is almost in ruins, it keeps and holds all its mysteries still. 8zl entry and 5zl if you go by bike. I also recommend the medieval Inn located on the village square. Low price and dishes plentiful!
