  • I visit the zoo every couple of years and i can see the changes on the +. A lot of animals, and information about them. Very large area which means a lot of walking and increases the duration of your stay. At ease is all day and a few hours for sure. On the site you can dine. There are also activities for children. All in all I recommend to fill time.

  • I went to our ZOO after a number of years and I was pleasantly surprised. You can see that the Directorate is trying as it can, investing in new facilities, new places for animals, educational, interactive, brings new pets. There is still a lot of work to do but the main thing that changes you can see every step of the way.

  • In each such direct contact with nature is extremely valuable. The gem for Katowice was and is formed from 1954-58 ZOO in Chorzow. To the ZOO Silesia enter by Gate Gourmet, the burnt in 1945, the Palace in świerklaniec. Behind the gate waiting for us Web of alleys, planted with beautiful vegetation, combining individual and pavilions. They have more than 3 thousand. the animals, from 313 species. After years of stagnation at the ZOO began intensive work, to its development and ornaments. The great advantage is in the guard rails and ramps, to explore it for people with disabilities. Very also expanded dining facilities. One of the last investment is to create a Mini ZOO, where our milusińscy can, under the care of the employees of the garden, to have direct contact with animals mild. For kids it's a real fun. For kids is allocated also Mini Rope Zoolandia. Children overcome simple, colorful rope obstacles suspended between the cabins on trees and piles. Fun takes place at a height of 1.5-3 m above the ground, and security are certified grid to protect against falls from a height. Unfortunately, the Park is only available on weekends. For each year, in the first Friday of June, Garden organizes for the chronically sick and disabled kids charity "Evening of dreams at the zoo" (the Dreamnight at the zoo). You can touch a snake or goats, take part in sports and sports games, sit by the fire. And, of course, a hearty refreshments. And sweets. That is what kids dream. Great interest has also recently renovated the dinosaur Valley, the only of this type of exposure of extinct reptiles in Europe and the first in our country. It presents probably dozens of representatives of the 16 species of reptiles. Beautifully located Valley is the perfect place to unwind during the tour, and even to relax with a book. Despite the large number of visitors you will find a quiet corner for yourself. For those interested, I recommend a visit on Saturdays. Then at 8:00 pm. 14oo can be seen feeding the bears. Just as impressive is the daily feeding Pelicans (at 9 and 17). For seniors (60 +) on Wednesdays admission free. After leaving the ZOO you can further relax among the many attractions of the Provincial Park of culture and leisure (amusement park, Planetarium, ethnographic Park, cable car "Elka", narrow-gauge railway, rosarium, rock garden, and many others). Silesian Zoo is not the biggest or the most beautiful, but it is certainly worthy of your visit. Certainly not you leave it disappointed.
