A conglomeration of over a hundred different nationalities, cosmopolitan Malmo sits on the southern tip of Sweden as part of the most densely populated area in Scandinavia.
Get out of town with these interesting Malmo side-trips: Island of Ven (in Landskrona), Ales Stenar (in Ystad) and Helsingborg (Sofiero Slott, Church of St. Mary, & more). Västerås is a city in central Sweden, located on the shore of Lake Mälaren in the province Västmanland, some 100km west of Stockholm.
