Villa Escudero, Tiaong

(4/5 based on 340 reviews on the web)
Dine in a tropical paradise next to a tumbling waterfall, with your feet in cold and refreshing water and your table under the shade of exotic trees, at Villa Escudero. Tucked away in the jungle surroundings, the villa offers a whole package of fun tours and activities, as well as cultural heritage performances and a rejuvenating natural ambiance. Paddle on a bamboo raft while surrounded by jungle, then head to the museum to admire the collection of antiquities from across the world. See the Philippine experience show, which includes traditional costumes, dances, and songs. Walk around the village of small shacks with straw rooftops, then end the day by staying in a bamboo-decorated room overlooking the river. • No attire needed. Very informative (and humorous) tour guides. Filled with church relics, animal skins local and foreign, Filipino costumes in the past, letters(mga liham) that were sent in the past, historical newspapers, KKK flag, moneybills, paintings and so much more. Closes at 5pm. No picture taking allowed.
  • Great historical museum. We love the fact that they are showcasing antiques and historical cultures not only in the PH but other countries as well. Though the kids got scared with the life size statues. Taking pictures inside are not allowed.
  • Ganda rito, tara! punta na!
  • Been here couple of times. I liked the carabao rides and the manmade water falls. Foods not that bad. Hospitable/ friendly staffs. Place is clean. Need more additional attraction maybe
  • This place is another quick drive from Metro Manila and a good weekend destination. Situated roughly at about 90km from main town of Manila this place is in St. Pablo along the Southern side of Philippines best know for its floating resturant. They have tried to create some attration by including a package deal which consists of A garden (and surprisingly you will see one US aircraft and a tanker), a bullcart ride with some live local music, a museum (which was so dirty and so secret that camera was not allowed) and the Lunch on the floating resturant. All in all ok but it seems like a food deal only which is quite expensive at 1500PHP per person. You will have good spread of filipino food with variety of meat, pansit (noddles), rice and a soft drink. You can also go for a bamboo water raft on an artficially created river with sone additional expense. Again not much around but a quick easy escape from town on a weekend.
