  • Bring a reliable light source if you want to camp overnight here. And some mosquito repelling lotion. Even without too many people, the falls can get to noisy to have a good night sleep within the camping grounds,

  • This is a better option than the crowded Daranak. There are few tables and a lot of area to camp on. The place looks enchanting with the flowing water and the trees.
  • Batlag Falls is for those who wants something different (from beaches and pools) and those who wants a bit of nature. It's worth the 2- hour travel time (from Quezon City) for the family. You can go under the falls, which gives out cold clear water. It's the soil on the pool that makes the water murky, but it's clean enough to take a bath on. There's a quieter area you can explore since the water is deeper and it leads to the Daranak Falls. Since the area is not crowded, it's quite eerie going to that place. Beside, there are a lot of those huge mosquitoes that float on water unless you want to have that river- forest experience. More on donniedorky
