Our second visit after 5 years and It was all just the same. Loved the uphill and the dated structures, loved the view of the lake and crater even more. Probably one of the best places to appreciate t...  more »

Lets be honest, this is nothing more than the top of a hill with a nice view of the lake and the volcano. It has a derelict building and a landscaped garden beside it. You may walk around the steps an...  more »

Games and rides are not that worth it. The view of the lake is just good. The Zipline seems to be interesting than the ones in picnic groove.  more »

This place is a dump. There is trash everywhere, the toilets are a disaster, and it's overrun with vendors. Yes, it's a derelict building but it has such great potential. If it would be kept clean and the vendors organized outside the structure, this could be a beautiful place to visit.

Entrance fee of 30PHP per person was charged for entry as of July 2017. From the gate to the unfinished palace is a short hike. It is a relatively short and easy hike for most people to walk up. You can also take a Jeepney to the top for a small fee. We hiked up. The view from the palace is very nice but there are other comparable spots for the view in Tagaytay. Unless you are visiting to specifically see this deteriorating structure, this isn't a required stop.

Its a good place to visit, its just that it wasn't conserved well. You'll see many ruin signage, the building many used to visit is empty, old and lack maintenance. Otherwise, the view you'll see from the top over looking the lake is astonishing.

It's dirty and overrated. Or I was just expecting too much. The fruit vendors below the park were all nice though. I bought some bananas and t'was the sweetest but very affordable, like literally cheap! A consolation over a disappointment.

Good view but really a place needs to be fixed. Almost no maintenance. Very dirty restroom.

Where to stay in Tagaytay

The main accommodations of Tagaytay sit along the ridge that forms the spine of the town. The road that snakes its way along here contains many of the restaurants, services, and urban attractions of Tagaytay, so the ridge represents the town center, unfurled. You'll find hotels of great variety along the ridge, as well as some simple guesthouses and hostels. Set back from here, some larger resorts make use of the increase in space by offering wellness-retreat-style accommodation, fine-dining restaurants, and rental apartments.
