Salagdoong Beach, Siquijor Island

3.5
#1 of 7 in Outdoors in Siquijor Island
Along with the powdery sand beach and pristine turquoise sea, Salagdoong Beach offers concrete diving platforms for jumping into the water. The diving cliffs reach two different heights, one at 5 m (16 ft) and the second at 10 m (32 ft). Even if you’re not the adventurous type, climb to the ledge simply for the vista of crystal clear sea, endless horizon, and limestone rocks enclosing the lagoon. When you head back down to sea level, explore the water, which thrives with small corals. Find refreshments in the onsite restaurant and bar, or enjoy a picnic in the provided barbecue area. • Yes you can hire a motorbike for 350p or hire a tricycle for 1500p for 8 hours. If you’re around for just a day or two, not too sure where sites are exactly but want to get around quickly and cost eff...  more »
  • I was in the February 2018, at 9 a.m., at low tide, a day after a typhoon. Can't recommend this resort to relax. Here, no real beach is built with concrete. Although there is a small beach next to it, but there it is not disturbed and he is probably too full for 5 people. You can't relax here, everywhere is personnel. There's a pool, which was empty and dirty... Either because of the retreating typhoon or he is no longer used. Think the latter. Staff is friendly, crystal clear water and there is a nice view. I have no experience about nights

  • This is a beach for a hotel resort, and you'll need to pay for the attractions. There are three meters and 10 meters platform, we come to this day platform is not open, only a shorter small platform. Friend's foot in this was cut by coral, has been bleeding, more serious. I ran to the Hotel infirmary for help, was told that there is no way, only some like the size of a small cotton ball can give me, if serious to go back to the island hospital. In fact, there are some dangerous attractions like this and also received tickets, I really hope to have a really working infirmary.

  • The place is famous for cliff diving. The beach is well maintained by the local government unit. The food from their restaurant is relatively cheap. Watch out for sea snakes.
  • Next to an abandoned resort, the beach itself isn't bad as the stuff the resort built is still there like a water slide. There's a restaurant next to it but the food is just meh and skippable. Not a lot of action going on but a nice place to chill and look out into the ocean.
  • The beach is nice but not that big The cliff is really nice for jumping The restaurant price is cheap
  • Nice beach and amazing jumping from the Clift. Avoid the restaurant slow service and expensive prices
  • It's nice to do cliff jumping!! 👍 After the beach is just concrete, no more nature,... And.. it was full of Chinese tourists!! :( Entrance fee at the gate (arround 30pesos/person)
