Cambugahay Falls, Siquijor Island

(4.4/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Admire multi-tiered cascades fed by burbling springs at Cambugahay Falls, featuring a popular swimming hole surrounded by lush jungle. Track the falls down their three tiers to the most popular swimming spot below the final level, with a relatively deep basin offering plenty of room for splashing around. Alternatively, you can bring a picnic, kick back on the shore, and listen to the splashing water come down. Use extra caution with your valuables when visiting the falls, as some visitors have reported petty theft as a recurring issue in this area. By using our Siquijor Island trip builder, you can arrange your visit to Cambugahay Falls and other attractions in Siquijor Island.

  • It is a wonderful place but it was too crowded when we visited plus the locals were openly smoking which is a turn-off for me as a visitor with children and non-smokers nearby.
  • The falls were a bit overrun with people when we went (in the middle of Chinese New Years), but they are certainly beautiful, and swimming in the water was enjoyable. They charge 50 pesos ($1) to swin...  more »
  • Pretty waterfalls in full nature. There may be a lot of people... Not need to use the self so-called local guides

  • Thrilling jump! The waterfall is mighty white but the pool is a natural and calming pale blue. It's majestic! The locals put a rope that you can use to swing your way to the water for an epic splash. There's no entrance fee but the locals serve as guide and they will gladly accept gratuity. Don't forget that there's a tiny cave behind the fall.
  • Be ready for the 130 steps uphill climb from the falls. The place is beautiful and really worth going for. Locals suggested getting a "lifeguard/guide" who graciously took our photos, told us stories andost importantly helped us with the bags on the way up.
  • we didn't get the chance to swim into the water :( coz our trip was on the spot we didn't prepare swimwear but it's definitely a must to go here just prepare yourself for the 130 steps. but it's totally worth it!
  • If u want nature this is the place to be. It is a 3 tier waterfalls wherein even theres so many tourist there is not much crowding the falls since it 3 tiers/level wherein people can find therir own relaxing space. Also nobody would really touch your things even if u left it alone and explore around.
  • Loved the place! definitely coming back... Loved the swing, be sure to have good cardio on the stairs going up!!!
