Where to stay in Sagada

Though remote, Sagada has established itself as a tourist destination, and therefore offers a range of accommodations for its guests. You won't find sparkling new hotels here, but that's the point. Seemingly every house acts a guesthouse across the modest urban area close to the bus stop. You'll find some offering a few more facilities, like onsite restaurants serving local cuisine, hot water, outdoor activity equipment rental, and tour booking. Some have a particularly rustic aspect to them, with their wooden designs fitting in with the landscape that surrounds, while some others remain very basic indeed.

  • This is the first religion that was introduced to the people of Sagada. I guess that is why everyone in Sagada speaks good english. First you would think its a Catholic Church .  more »
  • Worth a look-see on the way to the hanging coffins. Very quiet and cool inside. The interior is beautiful and quite unique as the construction looks almost Romanesque.  more »
  • One of the tourist destination (walking tour) before heading to Echo valley. This church depict the history of Sagada and how the Americans influence the place.  more »

  • Historic. Quaint.
  • It's right behind the main parking of public buses so it's easy to get to. No need for tour guides, and the interior is small but beautiful and one can see traces of Igorot mixing with Christian designs.
  • A historical church near the bus stop. A must visit.
  • Great views
  • Tucked in a quiet corner near Sagada town proper. Nice place for soul-searching and know the historical importance of Christian presence in the area.
