Lumiang Cave, Sagada
(4.6/5 based on 120 reviews on the web)
Take an adventurous and education tour of Lumiang Cave, the site of ancient burials. Expect a challenging tour involving waist-high water, rappelling, rock climbing, and more. Inside the caves, you'll see hundreds of wooden coffins grouped or scattered around. An experienced guide will manage your tour while you walk around the space, illuminated only with oil lamps. If you consider yourself claustrophobic, consult with your guide before entering. Dress appropriately for an active visit. • For Sagadou, this is the cave where the entrance lies a large number of coffins. It is on the way at the top order's Wizard, which guides you through all the caves, you can go through it myself, not recommended:-) or to someone přifařit:-) recommended boots, wading through the water and if you go there yourself so flashlight:-) On the way from Sagady are seen in the Valley of the hanging coffins. I recommend.

  • Visited this site last November 2014 with friends. A glimpse of Sagada's burial culture. Wear comfortable clothes and sturdy slippers, the narrow path to Lumiang Cave is slippery. A local tour guide i...  more »
  • This cave is absolutely worth a visit! Not for the faint of heart, as in the cave are no railings or other fixtures. Also the stones about the you must climb to the part, can even wiggle and be slippery. Nevertheless or precisely a tour through the almost 200 m-long cave is an incredible experience, only by the lanterns of the guides you ever can see what. The formations of the soft sandstones, caused by the constantly flowing water, are really impressive! The locals have given them the most imaginative name, and with some imagination you can see something :) We have taken the Sagada tour along with the rice terraces with PhilStep and have been completely satisfied. In the cave, had only a small group with our personal guide and were really glad we did!
