Where to stay in Sagada

Though remote, Sagada has established itself as a tourist destination, and therefore offers a range of accommodations for its guests. You won't find sparkling new hotels here, but that's the point. Seemingly every house acts a guesthouse across the modest urban area close to the bus stop. You'll find some offering a few more facilities, like onsite restaurants serving local cuisine, hot water, outdoor activity equipment rental, and tour booking. Some have a particularly rustic aspect to them, with their wooden designs fitting in with the landscape that surrounds, while some others remain very basic indeed.

  • As the sun is about to go down. It shows it's red face. So enchanting. We had bonfire and everything else.  more »
  • If you are a bit curious, I suggest taking a hike up to Lake Danum instead of paying for the tour. The trip up is a bit tiring, but I feel like it is much more worth it than actually paying for anythi...  more »
  • We got to Lake Danum at about 5:20 pm. The lake seemed more like a pond. Very plain with brown muddy water and it looked like nothing lived in it. What made it interesting, though was the mist that ro...  more »

  • A simple lake with grasses on the side. If it rains, the water turns a bit brown. When we visited the lake, it was raining. We saw 2 rainbows from the area. So beautiful.
  • That's a lake. Nice place for picnics if one doesn't mind the crowd (esp in the evening).
  • I've been here twice on foot on different routes. First was via the concrete road from the town. That took about 40 minutes. The second one was a traverse from Mount Ampacao. It took about 4 hours. In both routes I really enjoyed ending the trip in a lush forest with a lake.
  • Its an amazing place, a good place for picnics and sunset and also sunrise viewing. "Shifrayah's yogurt land" tastes delicious too.
  • Lush forest near the lake served as a beautiful background. The place is ideal for picnic. Just be responsible please do not leave any trash.Lets help maintain its relaxing atmosphere .
