Ugong Rock, Puerto Princesa

4.2
#3 of 21 in Parks in Puerto Princesa
Join an organized tour to explore the labyrinth caves of Ugong Rock, a 22 m (75 ft) limestone natural wonder governed by a community-based tourism project. The caves lie In the midst of farmlands and karst forests, and your tour culminates in a sharp, entertaining zipline. When underground, pound the stalactites with your knuckles to produce the characteristic reverberating sound called "Ugong." Since there are a lot of tight spaces to squeeze through during the exploration, visitors must meet the imposed weight restrictions, and children under the age of ten are not allowed. Put Ugong Rock and other Puerto Princesa attractions into our Puerto Princesa road trip planning tool , and watch your holiday take shape.

  • This place is a lot of fun. I did the cave spelunking which leads to the ziplines and it was great. Professional staff make your visit 100% safe. Best attraction around when you wait for the underground river tours.
  • It was an unexpected adventure. I came here thinking I'd just be riding a zip line. I was pleasantly surprised that you would have to go through some spelunking before you get to the take off point of the zip line. The guides were very knowledgeable of the different rock formations and were quick to help when I was having difficulty in climbing up the rocks.
  • It's not a place you have to visit by itself. But if you're going to the Underground river, a pit stop here would give you a small break. It has bits and pieces of trekking, spilunking, zip-lining and stuff. It's an isolated and calm place to relax from your busy lives. The whole thing costed us about 550 pesos per person. The small break during the return was something we were looking forward to. As everywhere in the Philippines, everyone was very courteous and nice.
  • One of the places you should not miss when you go to Puerto Prencesa City. I love hiking and going up to the highest peak of Ugong Rock with my family is one of unforgetable moments.Well trained tour guide, they explain in details. The most exciting part was the longest and the highest superman zipline I ever tried. Just bring a lot of pocket money if you want to experience the zipline it cost 350/pax, picture during zipline ride will cost you 150 each.
  • Staff were really nice and friendly. Before you get to the zip line you have walk freckling trough the cave whenever you tap the stalactites and stalagmites they made a sound sigh is pretty interesting!!! I like our tour guide she is funny and friendly! When you get to the top there is a nice view of UGONG Rock! And there is the zipline where you can go down! Which is pretty high! 😳 I really enjoy our trip here!
