German Island, Port Barton

Island
At German Island you'll find white sands, lush palms, and clear waters filled with abundant marine life. Looking like an archetypal desert island, this small sandy outcrop in the tropical seas offers rustic picnic furniture and hammocks beneath the shade of the island's central palm grove. Don a snorkel to peer beneath the surface and you'll find a rich landscape of coral and fish, and you'll also have a good chance to see some sea turtles going about their business. You can buy goods at the little shop, run by the local family, with boatmen on hand to take you to and from the island.
