Minalungao National Park Reviews
I'm usually a couch potato and the only exercise I like is walking but my better half loves mountain climbing. Minalungao National Park offers a good adventure for the not-so-thrill-seekers like me an... more »
I was here with my brother on April 30 and May 1 and yes I saw the HUGE difference between going there on a weekday and a regular holiday. What you see on pictures online can only be seen on a regular... more »

Mixed opinion . Perhaps I chose a horribly wrong time to go there, the holy weekend. Took over 7 hours to reach from manila .The road conditions were bad and many routes on Google maps didn't work as they would end up in a road block. Somehow reached there only to find like a million people already. It's a reserve forest. The government should have a cap on number of people allowed. But guess they allowed everyone. So excess shortage of parking spots , no boats available and people all over. Ruined the whole trip. Zip line was the only saving grace . Not many nice places to eat either. The place could have been beautiful if I could just shift+delete the people ..may not visit again..
A good place to take the kids to have a paddle in the water (make sure to hire the life vests as the current is very strong) but the scenery unfortunately is ruined by the hundred bamboo rafts that ferry the visitors up and down the river (they didn't go more than a couple of hundred metres in both directions). There are toilets and changing rooms with a "shower" and a few picnic huts with tables that you can hire (I think it costs 400 Pesos) a small barbecue is also available with the hut. There are a row of 20 or so vendors selling various snacks and toiletries for use in the shower. There is a path along the river which leads to a cave you can explore if you have a torch of some sort. Most people used their phone torches to light the way. Do not try to walk along the path barefoot as it has sharp stones and rocks which bloody well hurt! (Yes, I went barefoot and didn't risk going into the cave as a result....) A couple of zip-lines criss-cross high across the river and is available to the more adventurous. There are a few high spots along the riverbank that you can jump into the river from. Just be a bit careful if you are tall as I'm 6'2" and when I jumped in my feet hit the bottom a bit hard, luckily it was sandy on the bottom so it didn't do me any damage. The current like I said before is quite strong so unless you're a very strong swimmer hire a life vest! There is also a pilgrimage route to the top of a mountain. The route comprises of a thousand steps (I didn't count them so can't confirm this) at the top of the mountain is a place for prayer with a huge mirrored cross in the center of a circle. It is a tough walk to the top especially in the hot sun so take water with you and take your time.
A relaxing place for picnic, swimming, boating, rafting or just plain sightseeing. The place has souvenir shops, food stalls, restrooms and ample parking. The parking area is not paved and care should be taken while maneuvering.
The place is nice and beautiful. strongly recommended for family and group vacations. Relax and enjoy the view and the water
This place is very nice. But lot of people is going into this place. So better be here early to have cottage. Fee is 100 per head.
