Trip Planner: Asia / Philippines / Luzon / Calabarzon Region / Batangas Province / Nasugbu / Caleruega
Nestled in lush, verdant grounds, Caleruega serves not only as a church, but also as a sanctuary retreat, with a koi pond, rope bridge, and many other interesting structures, aside from the main building of worship. Founded in 1995, the spot has deservedly become a popular site for wedding ceremonies, with the grounds affording peaceful and picturesque strolls to enjoy before heading into the main building, the Chapel of Transfiguration. Inside the chapel, you can observe vibrant stained glass windows above the altar, and grand architecture throughout. If you need a break and refreshments, order a drink at the cafe in the green grounds. To visit Caleruega on your trip to Nasugbu, use our Nasugbu itinerary maker.

The Church is worth going even with the rough roads. The chapel on top of the hill is breathtaking. For elderly people, it will be quite a climb because of the hundred of step that you have to climb (... more »

Nothing beats having a wedding here in Caleruega tue place was solemn the view is breath taking. One downside is for the elderly to walk uphill to the church is quite tiring. more »

Two of my friends got married here and the place was impressive! It's a bit of a workout if you're coming up from the fountain but it's worth it. The greenery is beautiful and so is the church itself. Regardless of its size, it still looks terrific! The location is remote and stress-free!

A church with an awesome view and set up. My friend got married in this church and it was an magical set up. The venue is very romantic and the place solemn. Parking space can be tricky though as there is not enough space. You will be passing dirt roads as well on the way here.

Have a great experience here with my family. The place is spacious. You can relax here with the silent voice of our nature.

Very solemn and very big place! Good for a retreat! However, because of (but not blaming) the weddings, it isn't as quiet as it should be, even if there are signs that say (non verbatim) "please speak softly."

If you are looking for a place to go that is away from the noise of the city to do some spiritual meditation this is a place you might want to add to your bucket list.
