  • Review for the Dive Safari My wife and I did a dive safari with Easy Diving-Savedra Diving in late Jan 2018, and we loved it! The dive instructors: Mel and Noynoy were fantastic divemasters / leaders. Funny, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. The boat: Fantastic boat, plenty of place to chill between dives, great for an overnight stay (we opted to stay on the boat rather than the resorts. This was partially to save money, and also... If we had the money, we'd prefer doing this!). The crew - Grace and her team, and the boatboys, were super-friendly and helpful, made diving a breeze (swim?). The idea itself: What a cool idea, doing this safari. Putting together lots of remote locations together, and all in a very budget-friendly package. The dives themselves were mostly fabulous. Lots of turtles, sea snakes, corals, sardines and much more. There were a few niggles - Savedra was sometimes late to reply on email (mostly not an issue, but once I needed a document for visa purposes badly), one of the most sought-after dive sites was under danger of not being visited because of bad planning (but finally we did end up going there), and they have limited diving gear (I had to do a cold trip in a shortie. I didn't mind much, I discovered I had a very useful resistance to cold water, but it could have very easily swung the other way and I could have had a terrible trip). But overall, these niggles could be overlooked by what was a terrific experience, with some lovely people. Thank you Mel, Noynoy and everyone else at both diving destinations! (Oh, and the resort itself was gorgeous, though more expensive than what I would have generally paid. But for the price it seems great, I'm usually more in backpacker territory)
  • Easy to find. Just at the corner, with restaurant and hotel nearby. Just steps away from the ocean. Complete my OW there and my instructor Sam is really nice. Patient and helpful. I did four dives with them, one of which was boat dive. Unforgettable experience. Recommended!
  • It was my first time to do any scuba diving and I was a bit hesitant because I am not very confident with deep waters especially drop offs. I felt i was wanting to get off the water right after the skills in shallow waters, this is due to me feeling very scared and might have a panic attack but Alice was very patient with me till I got confident and told me to take my time to get used to the equipment, breathing with the equipment and psych myself that everything is safe and that I would be fine. I felt not rushed, and was assured everytime that everything is okay and that feeling a bit scared at first is okay. So it turned out to be a fun one and would want to try it again. :) So thank you Alice, Gautier and the rest of the staff of Savedra! You guys rock! 😀
  • Would not recommend this Dive shop. Went in to get my Advanced Open Water certification and the instructor took me out in less then 1 meter visibility water just after a typhoon with currents so strong it pulled us a 1/4 mile off our planned route.
  • Worst dive shop that I've ever dealt with!! Walking through Moalboal I saw their shop and thought it looked ok and google reviews were good. Signed up to do three dives the next day and staff were reasonably friendly and competent. I was told to be at the shop at 7am for gear fitting. I arrived at 6:55 and staff appeared at 7:05. No staff greeted me or said anything despite me waiting outside with my gear. I went into the shop and eventually someone (he didn't introduce himself or his role) asked who I was. He gave me a BCD and took off to do other things without saying anything else. After a few minutes I figured you set up your own gear at this shop, which I don't mind, but it would have been nice to be told. Other divers seemed to be putting on wetsuits etc so after setting up my gear I proceeded to put on mine at the bench just outside the door. During this time nobody spoke to me or gave me any information. When I was ready I went into the shop and asked the woman at the desk (the same woman who had signed me up the day previous) if I could leave my bag somewhere. Quite aggressively she says, "Who are you!!??" I said my name and then she angrily berates me that I was supposed to be there at 7 am and the boat has left! After the poor way I had been treated up to this point being virtually ignored by all staff I had really had enough when this woman starts berating me and saying the boat has gone!? They don't even check if divers are on the boat? What if I was lying on the bottom of the ocean??!! No way was I going to put my life in the hands of people who are so rude and unprofessional! So I told them they are very unprofessional and said I'm not going on the dives and proceeded to take off my gear. As I'm taking off my gear another woman comes up to me and says the boat is still there and I could still go. But the damage was done and I had lost all confidence in this shop and its staff! I don't know if I caught them on a bad day because they generally have good reviews but if this is their general approach then they seriously need to take a good look at themselves!
