  • Touring Manila Intramuros will notice that it is clear the absence of colonial homes, except the complex of religious buildings in St. Augustine, the fortifications and bastions, in the city looks little colonial housing infrastructure and precisely this gives you relevant House Manila, to have the opportunity to admire a mansion of the 19th century (but rebuilt). This is the reason why I suggest to visit him. Enjoy Manila. LIFE... is a trip!

  • If you're in the area and want to kill time, it's all right, but nothing special. There is no AC, and the guards follow you around, it's kind of creepy as a single woman being watched like that. It's ...  more »
  • A House rebuilt after the second world war, since the battle of Manila (February 1945) destroyed almost all buildings within the walls. This museum/House collects a very affluent of the 19th family home environment. I liked how have played with furniture and the distribution of the rooms to show to visitors (impact). Is very curious kitchen: ceramic jars are in Spanish: lentils, chick peas, sugar... and on some label changed the "z" by the "s". Up to you to discover it.

  • Beautiful place. Certain area can't take photo. Bamboo bicycle so interesting.
  • Interesting to see how the colonialists lived. Not air conditioned but well ventilated and provides slight relief from the heat
  • Great ambiance from a different era.
  • So beautiful. Cute cafe. Nice restaurant. Well laid out reproduction house and museum that gives a great feel for old colonial times. All set in cute little alleyways and through archways and tiny courtyards.
  • Enjoy the music, dance and their buffet food. Reservations is recommended.

Opt to stay in mid-range and upscale hotels clustered around the central business district, or score sea views at the resorts facing Manila Bay. If you choose to go for the budget-friendlier hostel, note that many have large dorm rooms with many bunk beds, catering primarily to job-seekers, while others are designed for young backpackers looking to make new friends.
