168 Shopping Mall, Manila

3.9
#3 of 16 in Shopping in Manila
Seemingly carrying everything under the sun, 168 Shopping Mall offers a vast array of knickknacks, clothing, toys, and food. There's many a bargain to be found across the mall's three floors, with a traditional "market" atmosphere pervasive throughout the chaotically organised shopping center. Unlike most malls, friendly haggling is acceptable here. Keep a close eye on your belongings while perusing the bustling mall, as pickpockets often frequent the area. • When you think of bargain shopping then 168 mall is the first place that comes to mind. This place gets unbelievably packed with shoppers in the days leading up to Christmas. If you intend to shop for Christmas gifts here, do so on a weekday in October. Otherwise, prepare to work your way through the thick crowds and risk having some of your stuff stolen. Yes, plenty of pickpockets when there are plenty of people to distract you from your shopping so always be aware of your surroundings.
  • The mall had a refreshing, cool atmosphere after the heat and smell of the outdoor market. The food court (beware- there's more than one, and on different floors, although signs appeared to point to just one on the fifth floor. After going downstairs for shopping, we had a terrible time locating the one we were supposed to meet the rest of our party at.) had a nice variety of Filipino and American foods. Be sure to try the fresh squeezed lemonade! Masarap!
  • A haven for people on a strict budget. You can find almost anything here. They offer a wide range of products from toys, beauty products to clothes and school supplies as well as legit imported goods just explore the mall. Be sure to always haggle as some prices can be lowered depending on the seller. Be vigilant as always as some pickpockets still enter these places even with security.
  • Prices here are cheap and some are selling good qualities too you can almost find everything here at a cheaper price
  • Nice to shop here. Prices are affordable. The place is clean and air conditioned.
