168 Shopping Mall, Manila

3.8
#3 of 16 in Shopping in Manila
Seemingly carrying everything under the sun, 168 Shopping Mall offers a vast array of knickknacks, clothing, toys, and food. There's many a bargain to be found across the mall's three floors, with a traditional "market" atmosphere pervasive throughout the chaotically organised shopping center. Unlike most malls, friendly haggling is acceptable here. Keep a close eye on your belongings while perusing the bustling mall, as pickpockets often frequent the area. • Still cool inside the mall. Comfort rooms are good enough for the place. Food choices are okay at the food court. Still a place for that great bargain hunt.
  • You can find mostly anything you need at an affordable price here. They also offer a variety of food to choose from in case you get hungry while shopping, they have Chinese foods, local Filipino dishes, fast food outlets etc. It is best to shop in the morning for it can get crowded in the afternoon. The air conditioning works well. There are nearby malls in case you can't find what you are looking for.
  • Name it, they have it at a low price. Just be prepared to mingle with the crowd and also to travel to and from the area back to where you came from. Better to travel on foot or have a driver park somewhere. Parking is limited. But you won't be disappointed with your stash. It is worth the trip. Just set aside half a day or more to shop until you drop.
  • A good place to fulfill your shopping list. No matter what the occasion is, you'll find what you need in here. At a competitively lower cost compared to shopping malls. Just be careful in walking around the area. Bring only what you need. And stay alert.
  • Great Bargains. Usually crowded. Visit DIVISORIA in general during weekdays and NEVER on a weekend or A HOLIDAY. too crowded. No ample parking. Lots of street vendors.

Where to stay in Manila

Manila has the full spectrum of hospitality options, from highly affordable hostels you can book on the spot to luxury four- and five-star resorts. Opt to stay in mid-range and upscale hotels clustered around the central business district, or score sea views at the resorts facing Manila Bay. If you choose to go for the budget-friendlier hostel, note that many have large dorm rooms with many bunk beds, catering primarily to job-seekers, while others are designed for young backpackers looking to make new friends.
