  • Eat, Pray, Love inspired me deep down to my soul. It was the sole reason why my Family pursued a week-long road trip in Mindanao. We spent most of the time traveling on the road (A packed Adobo and some boiled eggs joined us in this adventure) First on the list: contemplate in the Monastery of Transfiguration One word. Surreal. The facade gave me a sense of wonder. The entire place provided me inner peace.
  • A peaceful and serene place; great for personal reflection, nature photography, meditation walks and rest. Good food too. Not for those looking for a fun vacation.
  • Wow what a magical haunting place.I was intoxicated with spirituality so much I was crying like a baby
  • Ah, yes. One cannot visit Malaybalay City without sojourning to this world-famous monastery. The iconic pyramid was designed by Francisco Manosa (or was it Leandro Locsin?) and contains the central worship area. Outside, the place boasts spectacular views of the Bukidnon greenery, with its lovely mountains, farmlands, lanscaped gardens, and clear blue skies. The Benedictine monks make some of the finest coffee in the country, which is available on site. Parking is ample, but could be problematic on Sundays. There is a public toilet near the main building. In case you didn't know, this place is a great venue to use that selfie stick that you always keep on the ready. Most people have to bring a private vehicle, as it's quite a ways from the Sayre Highway. Whether you go there to pray or just to relax, the Monastery of Transfiguration will leave you with some of the fondest memories of your life.
  • If you want a solemn place to medidate, pray and commune with nature.. then you might consider the Monastery of Transfiguration in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The monastery is run by Benedictine monks. You can also buy their products such as coffee, delicacies and some religious items in thier giftshop. This picturesque pyramid-shaped church in my photo is indeed an awesome structure. 😁
