Mahogany Forest, Loboc

#2 of 15 in Nature in Bohol Island
Forest Nature / Park
Take a drive through Mahogany Forest, a scenic wood along the highway between Loboc and Bilar. The verdant trees, planted decades ago by a local troop of boy and girl scouts, follow the road for some 2 km (1.2 mi), blending with the natural wooded areas that grow before and after this stretch of highway. The trees straddle the boulders and hills that surround the road, creating a thick canopy and a deep, refreshing shade. • Picturesque mahogany forest mid-way into your countryside tour of Loboc and Chocolate Hills. Good for some requisite photo-ops; just be wary of passing vehicles.  more »
