  • This time we came friends stroke was that we did make the discovery of the Philippines... The visit here is a must in order to feel the life of a certain caste, middle-class of the Spanish settlers, unfortunately over time the building is deteriorating mainly with leaks in the roof. It is high time to take a backup of all the objects in this museum.

  • A nice stop in Loay to see an ancestral home and try the local hot chocolate and sticky rice in a pleasant patio/cafe area. Only complaint is the monkey locked up in the small cage. Monkeys are primat...  more »

  • The place was great and the tourist guide is very friendly.👏
  • I felt so confused after entering the house. The doors are open yet when I came in, nobody greeted me but the eerie silence of the museum and the lifeless mannequins posing as guards. I look for the guide to pay my entrance fee and saw her at Cafe Olegario, a restaurant located on the first floor of the house. I wonder why there's only one guide in the entire house. The guide didn't even bother guiding me. After collecting my payment, she just went back to the back of the house, do whatever business she is making their. Before she left, I asked her why no one is guiding the museum. She said she is confident no one would steal anything from the museum. Edi wow. The house looks okay but I just felt very disappointed how the entire house - the museum and the restaurant below it feels so staff less. When you get here, expect no one guiding you to the museum and expect no one to entertain you at the restaurant below.
  • Historical places
  • Even though the tour is less-than-mediocre, this house is worth visiting. The house gives you a good idea of what domestic like was like for influential families on the islands in the Philippines, during and after colonization. Each room has antiques and relics of the time, the outfits and kitchen utensils are especially interested. The garden out back is also very pretty and worth a peek.
  • Goosebumps! This place is worth visiting, a very interesting place where you can find very old things and read about the history though it focuses more on Clarin's but they have a rich history. I can stay here for three hours without getting bored!
