It is an amazing place. Spend some time watching the workers as they bring in tuna catch. Many good photo ops. Worth the visit

I would highly recommend this place for tourists. You can go at 5-6:30 in the morning to see the large tuna and marlin come in from the larger fishing boats. The only cost is boots rental ₱20 per person. Kids and adults will have fun seeing all the types of fish and boats.
Fishing port and seafood market. Not really an attraction.
The whole complex is very clean including the three busy fish markets. Their guards at the toll gate are courteous and there is a ready PFDA staff available if you need assistance in touring the place, subject to a prior approved request to do so. Giant tuna can be seen unloaded every dawn from the numerous fishing vessels at Fish Market 1 and eventually graded, traded, packed and readied for shipment abroad or elsewhere in the country. The rest are bought by local seafood proessors and traders. The whole complex has passed both US FDA and EU standards so this must be the cleanest fish port in the Philippines. Visitors can do nothing less but to abide by its rules of cleanliness and orderliness. The place is GenSan's #1 Tourist Attraction. Be sure to wear closed shoes, long pants when entering the premises. If you want to go inside Market 1, boots are provided by the PFDA office for a small amount.
it's more fun in gensan!
