Snake Island (Vigan Island), El Nido

Categories: Islands, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.5/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web
An untouched oasis of sand and sea, Snake Island (Vigan Island) connects to mainland Palawan via a winding sweep of sandbar, appearing daily at low tide. Accessed via boat or foot (during low tide), the island itself is small and blanketed with thick foliage. Surrounded by crystal clear azure ocean, snorkel along the shore, then hike to the top of the island’s viewing platform to see the snaking sandbar in full view. Keep your eyes peeled for monkeys hiding in the mangroves. If walking across the sandbar, make sure you wear water shoes to protect your feet from rockfish. Snake Island (Vigan Island) is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, El Nido Edition.
