Simizu Island, El Nido

4.3
#5 of 16 in Nature in El Nido
Island Nature / Park
At the clean and picturesque Simizu Island, you can easily spend an entire day sunning and swimming in perfect surroundings. Limestone cliffs covered with lush greenery back a small, white-sand beach, where the turquoise sea stays calm enough for children to swim near the shore. Don't swim out too far, however, as the current gets stronger between islands. Most visitors stop by as part of a tour leaving from El Nido, but consider hiring a private boat if you want to visit this attraction on its own. Put Simizu Island into our El Nido tourist route planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in El Nido.

Where to stay in El Nido

Long since established as a domestic tourist destination, El Nido's growing international reputation has led to a number of eco-tourism and resort-style options popping up in recent years. The main town on the west coast offers the greatest choice, with sprawling luxury resorts, hotels, and guesthouses all enjoying convenient access to the surrounding islands. Staying on one of the islands presents an exciting alternative, although you'll find the choice largely limited to luxury hotels.

  • We were taken here on island hopping tour A to snorkel. Had some nice fish but the corals are definitely being affected by the tourism. Half of the coral formations were dead or dying
  • Amazing diversity of fish and corals. Warm, clear waters around the island will provide hours of exploration. Bring your underwater camera!
  • Best spot to snorkel in El nido. NEVER saw so clear blue water where you can see about 30-50 m under water.
  • This is one of the nicest islands in El Nido! Great place to snorkel and take pictures
  • Crystal clear waters. Perfect for snorkeling.
