Nacpan Beach, El Nido

4.5
#1 of 19 in Beaches in Palawan Island
Unwind at Nacpan Beach, a secluded beach some 17 km (10.5 mi) north of El Nido. White sand and clear water on both sides of a sandy stretch will be your reward after a drive on a bumpy road. With palm trees providing necessary shade, this clean and quiet beach offers excellent swimming conditions and some basic facilities, including a rustic seafood joint and paddle boat rental office. Take a steep trail and climb a small hill above the beach to get a full view of this secluded gem, with a 360-degree panorama to enjoy. • This beach is a great and a nice escape from El Nido. The beach gets pretty busy but it's big so it't not the end of the world. The sun loungers costs 400 pesos for an entire day, super cheap! 2 beers...  more »
  • We ride a motorbike from town going here the road was rough but when were here the place was really beautiful..the long beach, white and fine sand..many people come here we had our lunch here the crabs...  more »
  • This is another one of Palawan’s white sand beaches with amazing views and big waves that you could try and ride. But like for everything in Philippines you have to pay an entry fee.  more »

  • I went here by myself renting a scooter after reading all that bad reviews about the hard muddy road etc... I can tell you honestly is not that bad. The road is easy and in good condition to go. Don't hesitate to go there. It was a rainy morning and I just found a small pool of water. Great beach, not so touristy in some parts, and take your insect repellent and food&drinks. Some Bars around there too.
  • Tough to get to during the rainy season because the roads get incredibly muddy. Great view, great for reading a book! You gotta bring your own food (not a lot of selection there) and shade if you don't want to pay for the cabanas.
  • Absolutely beautiful beach. There are lots of spots to chill and hang out. Words don't do this beach justice. The only downside was getting there. We rented some scooters, but that didn't do us any good. The roads are muddy, so expect to get dirty. However, the trip from El Nido to Nacpan Beach by scooter is wonderful.
  • One of the best beaches I've been to. There are white and fine sand and wide beach to enjoy.
  • A nice long white sand beach with a crystal clear sea water.

Where to stay in El Nido

Long since established as a domestic tourist destination, El Nido's growing international reputation has led to a number of eco-tourism and resort-style options popping up in recent years. The main town on the west coast offers the greatest choice, with sprawling luxury resorts, hotels, and guesthouses all enjoying convenient access to the surrounding islands. Staying on one of the islands presents an exciting alternative, although you'll find the choice largely limited to luxury hotels.
