(130+ reviews on the web)
Cave Nature / Park
Take a boat ride to explore Cathedral Caves. You can choose to stay on the boat and simply enjoy the view, or, if you're experienced and the tides are right, jump in the water and dive inside the cave. See the inside created naturally from the lava flow, with the entrance so magnificent that it resembles the architecture of a cathedral. Inside you'll find thousands of spiky stalactites hanging from the roof. • Mark, from the El Nido Resort, escorted my family into the caves. Extremely dark, scary at first but so cool. Would recommend to wear water shoes not sandals.  more »
  • We went here just to take photos. The boat is unable to enter the cave and we were not allowed to swim inside because there are a lot of sea snakes. The story behind it was also interesting!  more »
  • Beautiful! The rock formation was just beautiful. Got lots of pictures inside on the boat of course. Only one boat can go in at a time. We went early so there wasn't a lot of boats going in.  more »

  • The islet that houses this cave is an otherwise unassuming rock in the middle of this vast, clear ocean. Once you sail around the back, though, you're greeted with the gaping maw of nature. The outrigger will not take you inside, however they will not stop you from swimming in to explore on your own. I highly suggest doing so, with life vests if necessary, as this is one of the few places left on earth where you can truly escape.
  • Small area limited by water tides
  • The entrance to the cave is really narrow, so you might come here without being able to enter if the waves are high.
  • Cool cave.
  • Beautiful!
