Cathedral Caves, El Nido

Categories: Caves, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
3/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web
Take a boat ride to explore Cathedral Caves. You can choose to stay on the boat and simply enjoy the view, or, if you're experienced and the tides are right, jump in the water and dive inside the cave. See the inside created naturally from the lava flow, with the entrance so magnificent that it resembles the architecture of a cathedral. Inside you'll find thousands of spiky stalactites hanging from the roof. • we were just at the vicinity when we pass by the Cathedral Cave due to strict compliance not to go beyond. Even though we were just only within the vicinity, the cave is captivating.

  • The islet that houses this cave is an otherwise unassuming rock in the middle of this vast, clear ocean. Once you sail around the back, though, you're greeted with the gaping maw of nature. The outrigger will not take you inside, however they will not stop you from swimming in to explore on your own. I highly suggest doing so, with life vests if necessary, as this is one of the few places left on earth where you can truly escape.
  • Was not able to enter inside
  • A communion with nature
  • I visited 2 years ago.
