Cathedral Caves, El Nido

(3.6/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Take a boat ride to explore Cathedral Caves. You can choose to stay on the boat and simply enjoy the view, or, if you're experienced and the tides are right, jump in the water and dive inside the cave. See the inside created naturally from the lava flow, with the entrance so magnificent that it resembles the architecture of a cathedral. Inside you'll find thousands of spiky stalactites hanging from the roof. • One of the sites we were brought to that day is the Cathedral cave. Alighting from the boat, one would not even notice the small crack in the limestone wall. It was a very small opening roughly 20 inc...  more »
  • If you're cool with your tour guides/captain ask them to take you here. The caves are amazing with huge Stalactite formations. Do bring: Camera, Swimmers, Towels etc
  • A must see. A wonderful natural place, not crowded at all. a nice surprise once you slide inside.

  • The islet that houses this cave is an otherwise unassuming rock in the middle of this vast, clear ocean. Once you sail around the back, though, you're greeted with the gaping maw of nature. The outrigger will not take you inside, however they will not stop you from swimming in to explore on your own. I highly suggest doing so, with life vests if necessary, as this is one of the few places left on earth where you can truly escape.
  • Was not able to enter inside
  • A communion with nature
