Big Lagoon, El Nido

(1,000+ reviews on the web)
Water Body
The tranquil turquoise-green waters of Big Lagoon lie tucked between magnificent limestone cliffs fringed by tropical vegetation. Showcasing a kaleidoscope of marine life, the spot provides an excellent diving and snorkeling opportunity. Cruise into it with a catamaran and hop off the boat for a pleasant swim, or kayak around to explore all the shades of blue and caves under the dramatically ridged cliffs. Set in the midst of karst formations sheltering clear waters, the lagoon is a breeding ground for numerous fish and crustaceans. Tours usually include an adventure to the island's smaller lagoon nearby and fresh seafood treats. Big Lagoon is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, El Nido Edition.

  • Quite beautiful. If you have to choose between the big lagoon and the small lagoon, I would pick the small lagoon. But as most trips include both, no worries!  more »
  • Very nice scenery, it is part of Tour A. Don't miss Tour A; for me it was one of the best tours ever!!  more »
