  • It's a small cozy museum and may not be advisable if you are not accustomed to big traveling groups as the guided tour can be too fast / wordy. 50% of the info are about the ruling political family. I...  more »

  • Recommended if you want to know the rich history of Davao and why it is so diverse. They offer free tour that will go through the whole museum. At the end of the tour they will show you an art exhibition that changes every period of time where you can take pictures with.
  • If you're curious about the city's history, you can go and visit the museum for free! Also, there's a guide that will walk you through and will explain some information about the artifacts or some stories of their ancestors. You can also wander here without the guide if you want to have a quiet knowledgeable walk inside.
  • This is a great museum as far as free, local government museums in the country go. There's air-conditioning, the exhibits are comprehensive and are of good quality (although I notice that many texts/panels are duplicated), and most memorable of all, there are many guides ready to tour visitors around. If you're the type who wants to read everything in museum exhibits, I suggest you do as we did: let the museum guide do his/her tour, then at the end, politely ask if you can go around again on your own to take a closer look.
  • If you're looking for a run through of Davao City's history, Museo Dabawenyo is the go to place. Opens for free to all, the museum is a treat for those who loves history. An a-must in your Davao Itinerary.
  • One of the best Museum I've been to. Staff is very accomodating and cheerful. Its absolutely free of charge but you get to have your own guide to explain everything about Davao's heritage and history.
