Wildlife Area Nature / Park
With over 100,000 pine trees spread across 800 hectares (1,977 acres), Eden Nature Park stands at 3,000 m (9,842 ft) and offers an impressive view of the city, bay, and island below. Cool off in the swimming pool and enjoy a meal under a thatched roof, or get active with a bike rental or rope gliding. Small concerts, masses, and wedding ceremonies frequently take place in the onsite amphitheater. Once just a blanket of wild grass, today the area lies covered with trees, shrubs, and bushes, attracting families wishing to get some fresh air. Well-maintained hiking trails and jogging lanes provide more opportunities for recreation. Where to stay in Davao City

You won't find a shortage of accommodations in Davao City, nor a lack of choice between different styles. Close to the central People's Park, a number of hotels great and small offer arrays of facilities to match the number of stars they display outside. A number of fairly basic family-run guesthouses offer up the budget options in town, located primarily on the side streets to the north and south of this central area. Look inland and out of town for a collection of guesthouses located right in the thick of the rural landscape.

  • I'm from Davao and I never really see why people go to Eden. There's an entrance fee that includes a snack which is not really good. Reminds me of cafeteria food back in elementary school.  more »
