Sunken Japanese Wrecks, Coron

(400+ reviews on the web)
Wildlife Area
Popular with divers from around the world, Sunken Japanese Wrecks allow adventurous underwater explorers to discover a sea plane carrier, cargo vessels, gun boats, and submarine hunters sunk by Americans in 1944. Penetrate engine rooms, machine shop and cargo compartments, or see if you can spot anti-aircraft guns on top decks. Swim with banana fish, giant puffers, sea horses, turtles, and sea snakes, and keep your eyes open for scorpion fish and barracudas. A wreck of a gunboat near Lusong Island covered with hard corals makes a particularly good spot for snorkeling, as well as a decent resting spot between dives. • If you are daring this is a great place to snorkel and explore history. It is amazing to see how close this ship is to shore and you can even stand on it.  more »
  • I dived on the Olympia near Sangat island with of Divers based in the Bay of pearls. Diving sports because the current was moderately strong but the wreck is impressive and accessible to the OWD. Too bad for the poor visi.
