Sunken Japanese Wrecks, Coron
Categories: Wildlife Areas, Nature & Parks
Popular with divers from around the world, Sunken Japanese Wrecks allow adventurous underwater explorers to discover a sea plane carrier, cargo vessels, gun boats, and submarine hunters sunk by Americans in 1944. Penetrate engine rooms, machine shop and cargo compartments, or see if you can spot anti-aircraft guns on top decks. Swim with banana fish, giant puffers, sea horses, turtles, and sea snakes, and keep your eyes open for scorpion fish and barracudas. A wreck of a gunboat near Lusong Island covered with hard corals makes a particularly good spot for snorkeling, as well as a decent resting spot between dives. Arrange to visit Sunken Japanese Wrecks and other attractions in Coron using our Coron itinerary planner.
