  • I have to climbed it twice and conquered it the 2nd time. Im not a fit person so to climb it, it has to be slow and rest every hundred steps. Once at the top the view was spectacular and the sunset wa...  more »
  • I think this is actually 700 "foot steps" and not 700 "stair steps". Perfect to watch the sunset over the myriad of island near Coron City.  more »
  • Easily the best way to see Coron Town from up high, just be prepared that climbing the 700+ steps at 2:30pm is seriously hot! Most people go up for sunrise or sunset. We did however have the whole pla...  more »

  • I thought the climb is going to be easy since according to my research there are only 721 steps to the top of Mt. Tapyas. I realized that what you read online may not always be exactly as you imagined it to be. The climb was difficult for me considering the angle of elevation, my body built and the height of each steps. But the view from the top is awesome! Definitely worth doing if you are in Coron. Make sure to bring a bottle of water, they sell water at the starting point. Also pace yourself when you climb do not rush as you will soon exhaust your energy. Better go during late in the afternoon to catch the sunset and to avoid the hot weather.
  • Famous 700ish steps for a spectacular view of the island. The climb is definitely a challenge esp to the least active individual. Water is available at the start around 30php for 1 liter. Best sunset view but it can get crowded. You may come a little early to take photos. The view is definitely worth it!
  • You have to try climbing the gazillion steps up Mt. Tapyas if you're going to be in Coron town for any length of time. Be sure your heart can take it though. Spectacular view, especially around sunset. Oh, oh, oh, do not forget to bring water and a camera with a wide angle capability. Or at least can do a pano shot.
  • Climbed 724 steps to have a good view of the island.
  • it takes some physical effort to get up here, but the view is stunning
