Banana Island, Coron

(4.6/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Swim and snorkel in the clear turquoise waters near the open sea at Banana Island. A popular stop on an island-hoping package, the island features a narrow strip of white sandy beach set against the backdrop of forested, hilly terrain. Moor your boat at a small lagoon in the shape of a horseshoe, find a hammock chair, and swing lazily, sheltered by the shade of tall palm trees. Several cottages on the island provide overnight accommodation, and the island also boasts a beach volleyball court. Bring your own food and beverages and watch out for the waves in the afternoon--they can get quite big. To visit Banana Island on your trip to Coron, use our Coron tourist route planner.

  • This was the best experience in coron, perfect white sand beach, amazing snorkeling, better than diving anywhere in coron. Just stay on this island whole day when u go tuoring, it's worth it.
  • We lived on Banana island in two rounds in one of the family's small cabins. The Philippines ' nicest family we celebrated the new year with them.

  • Definitely one of the best islands in Palawan. Experience the clear sky and water during the summer season in the Philippines. The coconut trees of Banana Island gives a more relaxing experience because of the shades that it brings. Also, don't miss to give your self a break by having a quick nap at the swings under the trees. Here at Banana Island, there are available cottages that you can use so you can bring your packed lunch. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a single banana tree at the Banana Island :)
  • One of the stopover for the Malcapuya-Banana-Bulogdos tour. The beach side is quite different here as one part is pure white sand, the other part pebble like stones, and another part big sharp edge rocks.
  • Most people stop over here for lunch! Things to do here 1. Chill, take time to relax, I know you are eager to keep on exploring coron. But you have to stop and just absorb the moment. 2. Walk around the beach first, there are nipa huts where you can go up and have a birds eye view of the island. Or go to the "duyan" take a nap. 3. Start snorkling! look for NEMO, and look for the box filled with oysters making pearls. 4. Can't get enough of snorkling and exploring the reef! Visited June 2015
  • Amazing beach go there
  • The best beach ive gone to so far.
