Banana Island, Coron
Categories: Islands, Nature & Parks
Swim and snorkel in the clear turquoise waters near the open sea at Banana Island. A popular stop on an island-hoping package, the island features a narrow strip of white sandy beach set against the backdrop of forested, hilly terrain. Moor your boat at a small lagoon in the shape of a horseshoe, find a hammock chair, and swing lazily, sheltered by the shade of tall palm trees. Several cottages on the island provide overnight accommodation, and the island also boasts a beach volleyball court. Bring your own food and beverages and watch out for the waves in the afternoon--they can get quite big. To visit Banana Island on your trip to Coron, use our Coron tourist route planner.

Most people stop over here for lunch! Things to do here 1. Chill, take time to relax, I know you are eager to keep on exploring coron. But you have to stop and just absorb the moment. 2. Walk around the beach first, there are nipa huts where you can go up and have a birds eye view of the island. Or go to the "duyan" take a nap. 3. Start snorkling! look for NEMO, and look for the box filled with oysters making pearls. 4. Can't get enough of snorkling and exploring the reef! Visited June 2015
