The Olango Island Group is a group of islands found in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines and is a part of Cebu Province. It comprises Olango island and 6 satellite islets namely: Sulpa, Gilutongan, Nalusuan, Caohagan, Pangan-an, and Camungi. Olango Island and its neighboring islets has a total land area of approximately 1030ha. The island group is under the jurisdiction of the city of Lapu-Lapu and the municipality of Cordova. It lies 5km east of Mactan Island and a major tourist destination in Cebu. It is known for its wildlife sanctuary.GeographyThe Olango Group of islands consists of seven islands. Located east of Mactan Island, Olango Island and its satellite islets lies between the Cebu Strait to the south and the Camotes Sea to the north. To the east is the Olango Channel (separating it from Bohol) while to the west is the Gilutungan Channel, which separates it from Mactan Island.Land areaOlango Islands has a total land area of approximately. The reef flat-lagoon surrounding the island of Olango is considered one of the most extensive reef areas in the Central Visayas. A total of of extensive sandy beach, rocky shoreline, inshore flats, seagrass beds, coral reefs, mangrove forest, mudflats, and salt marsh grass surround Olango and its satellite islets.

  • This place makes the question of whether the calm waters the water, light and stone bridge and the road up to the first experience where the sperm try magic. Mangrove trees with the sea even more beautiful. Walk through the stone bridge with lukewarm water and laughing while I was filming and enjoyable time. Along with memories of the family seems to be more beautiful. Kids wanted to go back to this place to look ...

  • Good if you want to chill out and have a picnic, but a waste of time if you are into snorkelling (there are some fish and starfish, but the coral is dead)  more »
