  • Local market itself. In the tourist not with great hustle and bustle, tourists floating in completely. Just exuberance. I don't really feel like. Here market fruits and vegetables, fish and meat are dealing with everything, so spectacular and the smell is terrible. In other countries, but chickens (birds other than) is alive in a cage or rope tied to an oversold, bucket fish do creatures (frog?), liquid like a salmon ROE ROE, unsure what the smelly drop-down and (salted?), not at least seen in the Japan market takes up more than half. Recommended if you don't have that many interesting, went on the market. And if you did have a bit of a bummer, so in countries such as China and Malaysia in the future, maybe.

  • Cebu's very own Carbon market is indeed both fascinating and educational. You learn a lot about the interaction of "buyers and sellers". As much as the market could improve in so many ways such as store organization, cleanliness, sanitation, etc; there's definitely a liveliness and buzz to the atmosphere of this market.
  • If you are looking for fresh local produce, everything is here in this place. You just don't like the traffic for some vehicles are double parked especially during night market. Just be careful not to trample with the displays or hit by a moving cart or truck
  • Variety of nice shops. One stop for almost anything; foods, clothing and so much more in an affordable and can be negotiated price. Beware of the pickpockets.
  • The busiest wet and dry market in cebu! Almost all the things are sold here. Be careful for pickpocketers though.
  • Decent fresh goods. Kids in groups attempt to pickpocket you. Foreigners beware.

Where to stay in Cebu City

The most popular place to stay in Cebu City remains uptown, particularly around the university district near Junquera Street station. Here you'll find a good range of hotels, hostels, and guesthouses of varying quality, but with a well-established base level representing value for money. Further north, look along Dalan Osmena to find a good number of standard and luxury hotels located north and south of the roundabout. The downtown area has more closely knitted streets, with just a few guesthouses located along primarily residential roads.
