  • Made by experienced craftsmen. As exports to the United States and Europe. Seems to have exported to Japan. Sometimes enters a customized guitar orders from Japan and from Japan reacts to see it coming. Order detail is very important. But seems there's pride would be exported to Japan.

  • Been there to buy a guitar because they are reference in Cebu. But I've found a guitar factory. They guide you through the process. it's quite interesting. The price is kinda expensive, but ppl say it...  more »

  • Don't listen to the overpriced reviews. For Filipinos, it's expensive given the cheaper options around. But the value is comparable to that in the West if not better. Handmade ukuleles run anywhere from $20-$150 depending on the quality. All kinds of different quality wood is used and the sound is great. All items are handmade.
  • I love the guitar I bought here. It's beautiful. The dry air in SoCal eventually cracked it, but it's still a stunning work of art.
  • The shop is called a factory because they have workshop inside but to me it's more like a museum. Inside you can see a gallery featuring the type of wood imported around the world used in making their guitars, a souvenir shop, a workshop where you can see their craftsmen build their guitars, and a gallery showcasing all their finished guitars. Their finished guitars has to be the best guitars I have ever tried. The strings are so easy to press, you don't need to exert much effort in playing them. It feels so easy to carry. The thing that struck me most is the quality of the sound. It sounds really good, no words can describe. There are no registration fees or any sort of payments. Just come inside, and they'll entertain you right away. Best of all is how accommodating their sales assistants are, even if you're just there to do window shopping. Tip#1: Finding this place isn't easy at all. If you dare to come here by jeepney(P16/person), make sure you have basic knowledge of Mactan's jeepney routes. I got lost in Mactan during my first visit, but thanks to a friendly tricycle driver, I hired him to take me all the way here from Lapu2x Public Market for P70.00 Tip#2: If you're coming from Cebu City like me, the best place starting point is Parkmall, Mandaue. Just ask around and look for jeep number: MI 02B. It traverses to and fro Mactan. You'll need Google Maps. The jeep would pass the Marcelo Fernan Bridge, will take you to Maribago, and tell the driver to stop once you're already in corner of Pajac - Maribago road. There's a 7/11 store there for your landmark. From there you'll ride a tricycle (P10/person) to Alegre Guitars. Use the same trip to find yourself back to Cebu. Tip#3: You can buy a guitar for as low as P3,500 and thats pretty affordable for a guitar at this caliber.
  • Hand made guitars in the Cebuan tradition. Staff very friendly, and also very capable musicians themselves. They show you how they make the guitars, what different types of wood they use and why, etc. I was impressed with the quality of their workmanship. They sell a range of guitars as well as ukeleles, guitareleles, and Filipino mandolins. Definitely worth a visit .
  • One of the best destination where we bring mostly our guest.
