Tops Lookout, Cebu City

4.0
#4 of 44 in Sightseeing in Cebu Island
Observation Deck Tourist Spot
See the remarkable scenery of the surrounding green mountains and the bustling port-city below at Tops Lookout. The vantage point stands around 600 m (1,968 ft) above the city's skyline, from where you can observe high structures such as churches, universities, hotels, and a cable-stayed bridge. To reach the site, take a 20-minute motorbike or car ride to the top, where a rather otherworldly scene unfolds. Architecturally, the whole structure ornamented with tropical flowers rests on a hexagon-pattern plateau with concrete and stone indoor rooms subdivided by circular entrances. After taking in the panoramic view, head to the surrounding snack bars or stores for food and drinks, and visit the souvenir shop for quality memorabilia. • Came here the second time but this time during the day after lunch. It is quite and seems like we have the place to ourselves. Nothing much to see except for the city and ocean view. They don't have a...  more »
  • I guess that the Php 100.00 entrance fee for this attraction is pricey, considering that there's not much to see up there except for Cebu's skyline. We went there late afternoon, I just don't know if ...  more »

  • Great place for tourists to get a look at the whole of Cebu! Best views at night! The food was alright, and the entrance fee wasn't too expensive. If you don't have a car, or pay for car service, it's a bit of a hike from the entrance.
  • The entrance fee is ridiculously expensive. The crew are not enthusiastic and the comfort rooms are barely acceptable. But if you come here for the view, it's definitely worth both the time and effort of going there.
  • Enjoyed the perfect City lights. The view was fascinating. Place is just so romantic and perfect at night especially when you want to have some good time with your loved one.
  • It is much better if you visit the place at night since you can see all of Cebu City lights. Its a perfect place to go with your significant other and watching the scene will give you peace of mind. Just don't forget to bring your jackets when going there at night because the breeze will make you freeze. :-)
  • Great view of cebu city especially at night! With food and drinks available at the location!

Where to stay in Cebu City

The most popular place to stay in Cebu City remains uptown, particularly around the university district near Junquera Street station. Here you'll find a good range of hotels, hostels, and guesthouses of varying quality, but with a well-established base level representing value for money. Further north, look along Dalan Osmena to find a good number of standard and luxury hotels located north and south of the roundabout. The downtown area has more closely knitted streets, with just a few guesthouses located along primarily residential roads.
