Religious Site Tourist Spot
Perched on the top of Cebu’s classy Beverly Hills, Taoist Temple stands as an impressive modern place of worship built by the city’s Chinese community in 1972. Entered through a replica of the Great Wall of China after 81 symbollic steps, the temple offers an insight into Chinese folk religions. Standing at an elevation of 300 m (980 ft), the temple's grounds serve as a great platform to relax with a scenic view of the city. Admire a statue of a long green dragon outside the temple garden, or stroll around the complex and simply enjoy the scenery. Volunteers will help you take part in rituals for good luck. • It's a beautiful place, quiet and serene. You're not allowed to take photos inside. This place also has a great view and there is also free tea.
  • Here are some of our personal photos of this great island adventure. Taoist Temple is only about an hour from our East Tambuli Resort and makes a great 1/2 day trip. Be sure to toss your stones while in the temple. Regardless of your faith, you never know what may happen! We also did a 1 Day tour of the highlights on Mactan Island which included guitar shop, shell shopping and the Temple.
  • The place is picture perfect. If you like to learn about the religion, this is that place. If you like to see achitectures, this is a must. The place is constructed on an elevated area thus there is a great overview of Cebu on the Temple's perspective.
  • Nice place if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful and clean surroundings. Good architecture and landscape.
  • They are strict in taking photos especially if you're inside the prayer rooms. They only allow taking photos outside. It has also the best view of Cebu City like at the Temple of Leah. All in all, I like the place, the quiteness, the architecture and you only give donations.
