SM City Cebu, Cebu City

#2 of 38 in Shopping in Visayas
Gift & Specialty Shop Shopping
One the largest and most varied malls in the country, SM City Cebu sits on a bay and offers a widespread mixture of brands and local goods in a tasteful setting. Opened in 1993 with a goal to cater to middle-class shoppers, the mall now serves a more upscale clientele with seven floors of shopping and a roof deck featuring IMAX theaters, a bowling center, and a food court. If you have difficulty finding your way around, read a map in the north wing area or ask a guard for directions. • One of the most popular malls. Great tech selection. Department store are fairly priced with decent or high quality goods. The older movie houses have terrible audio. Can't hear the spoken words very well, mostly just the background sound. Only the newer movie houses have decent sound. Toy stores are pretty good. Their best areas to standby abd chat are the north wing area.
  • Almost everything you need is there. Plenty of affordable items to choose from. Love the bowling lanes. Clean and nice movie houses. Great options for restaurants and a lot more.
  • I enjoyed my 1 day tour at the establishment. Shop, eat and recreation were in abundance. Location is near the sea port. Their traveller's Lounge is equip with fully functional shower should you need to freshen up.
  • I've been there and it's really a best place for shopping. A supermarket that has all what people needs and satisfactions. Great place!
  • A good shopping mall that provides all the things you need. Good to stop by and load up before heading off for your excursions.

Where to stay in Cebu City

The most popular place to stay in Cebu City remains uptown, particularly around the university district near Junquera Street station. Here you'll find a good range of hotels, hostels, and guesthouses of varying quality, but with a well-established base level representing value for money. Further north, look along Dalan Osmena to find a good number of standard and luxury hotels located north and south of the roundabout. The downtown area has more closely knitted streets, with just a few guesthouses located along primarily residential roads.
