#1 of 32 in Museums in Visayas
Located in the once-upon-a-time Cebu jail, Museo Sugbo houses several galleries, showcasing artifacts from various periods of city’'s history. Go through the American-era or Spanish-era galleries where you can see photos, weapons, and letters, dating back to these times. In the World War II gallery, see the bomb that was dropped on Cebu by the American army. Other than war-related collections, learn about the Spanish-inspired architecture. • This is the scheduled itinerary of the Fog travel agency. There are professionals for me to explore the interpretation of the sour stone built castle-style buildings heard from the Spanish United States to Japan occupied by the past, the island has a clear understanding of the fog

  • A must-visit for local or foreign tourists! If you really wanna get to know Cebu better, this is the perfect place to go. They have 13 galleries dedicated to the eras of Cebu 's history. Plus, the tour guides are well versed about Cebu's history and accomodating too!
  • Really good to see all the history of cebu. Everything is arrange chronologically and the rooms are airconditioned.
  • Still can be improved by providing free tour guide.. Motion activated voice over will be better..
  • Known as the "Old Provincial Jail", it has definitely turned itself around to be a very informative site to immerse yourself in historical facts.
  • Excellent museum. Wish it had more of prehistoric artifacts. Great environmental print to guide visitor. Very clean and very friendly staff. Some AC units not working. Some lights blinking. The vehicle parking was unclear.

Where to stay in Cebu City

The most popular place to stay in Cebu City remains uptown, particularly around the university district near Junquera Street station. Here you'll find a good range of hotels, hostels, and guesthouses of varying quality, but with a well-established base level representing value for money. Further north, look along Dalan Osmena to find a good number of standard and luxury hotels located north and south of the roundabout. The downtown area has more closely knitted streets, with just a few guesthouses located along primarily residential roads.
